I know where I don't want to live: Iowa! We drove and drove and drove and saw nothing but corn, corn, corn and corn again. No restaurant, no gas station in site for hours, the land is flat, and there is corn, corn, nothing but corn.
We found our campsite on a dirt road and there was a sign on the door to drop the money in an envelope if no one should show up. Kind of funny especially since the place is quite packed. We called the owner and got a password for wifi and besides TV we have phone coverage and nothing to complain about. There is a fairly good sized town close by but we are enjoying the comfort of the RV while listening to rain. Just what my husband had asked for to wash the RV and truck off.

Ich weiss wo ich nicht leben moechte: Iowa! Wir fuhren und fuhren und fuhren and haben nichts weiter gesehen als Korn, Korn, Korn und nochmals Korn. Keine Restaurants, keine Benzin/Dieseltankstelle in Sicht nach stundenlanger Fahrt, nur Korn, Korn, Korn!
Unseren Campingplatz haben wir gefunden, neben dem Korn, und wir fanden einen Zettel an der Tuer, das Geld fuer den Aufenthalt in einen Umschlag zu stecken falls niemand zum kassieren kommen sollte. Ganz witzig. Wir riefen den Besitzer an und erhielten ein Passwort fuer den Computeranschluss, wir haben Telefonanschluss, aber kein TV, und koennen uns nicht beschweren. Wir werden den Nachmittag und Abend im RV geniessen, da es recht stark regnet heute. Das ist was sich mein Mann gewuenscht hatte, da der RV und das Auto eine Waesche noetig hatten.
Ich konnte mich nicht ueberwinden, Fotos vom Korn zu schiessen!
